New Patient Information
At Island Coast Dentistry, Dr. Skupny and our team of dental experts are always happy to accept new smiles into our patient family. If you’re ready to experience truly world-class dentistry with a personal touch, then we invite you to come see us! Below, you can learn everything you need to know before scheduling your first appointment. Be sure to give us a call if you have any other questions. We look forward to meeting you and your smile soon!
Your First Visit
We kindly ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. This allows time for you to complete the necessary paper work and also gives us time to verify your dental insurance.
Please also bring a photo ID, insurance card if applicable, and a list of any current medications. If you have current X-rays from a previous dentist, we also ask that you request a copy to be mailed or emailed to our office.
After being escorted to the back, you’ll get to meet Dr. Skupny and his assistant. They will take any necessary photographs, X-rays, and conduct a comprehensive exam. If any treatment additional is needed, they will also draft a treatment plan and review the information with you.
One reason for the comprehensive exam is that it allows Dr. Skupny to determine the health of your gums and supporting bone. Based upon his findings, he will recommend a specific type of dental cleaning with one of our hygienists.
